Hi! We are currently working on a Creation/Adam and Eve lapbook, which I hope to finish today. We will then be starting a Noah's Ark lapbook. I am really excited about starting this lapbook because it has so much to do! The cover itself is so much fun to make. I will get those photos downloaded as soon as I can. Thank you for visiting. Would love to hear how your lapbooking is going? Please write if you need any help or have any questions.

Hi and Welcome! I have just downloaded tons of pics of our lapbooks we have made this year. Unfortunately there is not a lot of memory on this site so I can not download all the pics, but at least you can get some idea of what a lapbook is and how easy and fun they are! If you have any questions or comments please feel free to add them here. I look forward to hearing from you!

Hi, as many of you know I have had a devotional blog going for awhile now and it was already online, so I have decided to just add our lapbooking onto it instead of starting a new blog.
I hope you enjoy our new lapbooking blog and what you see here and will add your ideas and comments! You are going to love useing lapbooking as a tool to teach your child/children all the subjects that you need to cover this year. Lapbooks are great for Science, Math, and Social Studies. Incorporated in each lapbook is reading, art, and whatever other subjects you would like to teach. For example, bible or music.Take a peek at my lapbooks and get an idea of how they look and then pick up a file folder and start your own creative lapbook!

This is the Law that Jesus came to complete.
Jesus said there are only 2 commands I give you ...(look them up) and when you fulfill those two you will have fulfilled all.
Exodus 20:3-17
3 "You shall have no other gods before me.
4 "You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 but showing love to a thousand {generations} of those who love me and keep my commandments.
7 "You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God, for the LORD will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.
8 "Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your manservant or maidservant, nor your animals, nor the alien within your gates. 11 For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.
12 "Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you.
13 "You shall not murder.
14 "You shall not commit adultery.
15 "You shall not steal.
16 "You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.
17 "You shall not covet your neighbor's house. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his manservant or maidservant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor."
Matthew 22:37
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Galatians 5:14
The entire law is summed up in a single command: "Love your neighbor as yourself."
5-6Then he said, "Imagine what would happen if you went to a friend in the middle of the night and said, 'Friend, lend me three loaves of bread. An old friend traveling through just showed up, and I don't have a thing on hand.'
7"The friend answers from his bed, 'Don't bother me. The door's locked; my children are all down for the night; I can't get up to give you anything.'
8"But let me tell you, even if he won't get up because he's a friend, if you stand your ground, knocking and waking all the neighbors, he'll finally get up and get you whatever you need.
9"Here's what I'm saying:
Ask and you'll get;
Seek and you'll find;
Knock and the door will open.
10-13"Don't bargain with God. Be direct. Ask for what you need. This is not a cat-and-mouse, hide-and-seek game we're in. If your little boy asks for a serving of fish, do you scare him with a live snake on his plate? If your little girl asks for an egg, do you trick her with a spider? As bad as you are, you wouldn't think of such a thing—you're at least decent to your own children. And don't you think the Father who conceived you in love will give the Holy Spirit when you ask him?"
Another Version
11"Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
14"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. 15Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.
23"Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift.
25"Settle matters quickly with your adversary who is taking you to court. Do it while you are still with him on the way, or he may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison. 26I tell you the truth, you will not get out until you have paid the last penny.[d]
3"You're blessed when you're at the end of your rope. With less of you there is more of God and his rule.
4"You're blessed when you feel you've lost what is most dear to you. Only then can you be embraced by the One most dear to you.
5"You're blessed when you're content with just who you are—no more, no less. That's the moment you find yourselves proud owners of everything that can't be bought.
6"You're blessed when you've worked up a good appetite for God. He's food and drink in the best meal you'll ever eat.
7"You're blessed when you care. At the moment of being 'care-full,' you find yourselves cared for.
8"You're blessed when you get your inside world—your mind and heart—put right. Then you can see God in the outside world.
9"You're blessed when you can show people how to cooperate instead of compete or fight. That's when you discover who you really are, and your place in God's family.
10"You're blessed when your commitment to God provokes persecution. The persecution drives you even deeper into God's kingdom.
11-12"Not only that—count yourselves blessed every time people put you down or throw you out or speak lies about you to discredit me. What it means is that the truth is too close for comfort and they are uncomfortable. You can be glad when that happens—give a cheer, even!—for though they don't like it, I do! And all heaven applauds. And know that you are in good company. My prophets and witnesses have always gotten into this kind of trouble.
14-16"Here's another way to put it: You're here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We're going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don't think I'm going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I'm putting you on a light stand. Now that I've put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you'll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.
19-20"Trivialize even the smallest item in God's Law and you will only have trivialized yourself. But take it seriously, show the way for others, and you will find honor in the kingdom. Unless you do far better than the Pharisees in the matters of right living, you won't know the first thing about entering the kingdom.
23-24"This is how I want you to conduct yourself in these matters. If you enter your place of worship and, about to make an offering, you suddenly remember a grudge a friend has against you, abandon your offering, leave immediately, go to this friend and make things right. Then and only then, come back and work things out with God.
25-26"Or say you're out on the street and an old enemy accosts you. Don't lose a minute. Make the first move; make things right with him. After all, if you leave the first move to him, knowing his track record, you're likely to end up in court, maybe even jail. If that happens, you won't get out without a stiff fine.
29-30"Let's not pretend this is easier than it really is. If you want to live a morally pure life, here's what you have to do: You have to blind your right eye the moment you catch it in a lustful leer. You have to choose to live one-eyed or else be dumped on a moral trash pile. And you have to chop off your right hand the moment you notice it raised threateningly. Better a bloody stump than your entire being discarded for good in the dump.
31-32"Remember the Scripture that says, 'Whoever divorces his wife, let him do it legally, giving her divorce papers and her legal rights'? Too many of you are using that as a cover for selfishness and whim, pretending to be righteous just because you are 'legal.' Please, no more pretending. If you divorce your wife, you're responsible for making her an adulteress (unless she has already made herself that by sexual promiscuity). And if you marry such a divorced adulteress, you're automatically an adulterer yourself. You can't use legal cover to mask a moral failure.
43-47"You're familiar with the old written law, 'Love your friend,' and its unwritten companion, 'Hate your enemy.' I'm challenging that. I'm telling you to love your enemies. Let them bring out the best in you, not the worst. When someone gives you a hard time, respond with the energies of prayer, for then you are working out of your true selves, your God-created selves. This is what God does. He gives his best—the sun to warm and the rain to nourish—to everyone, regardless: the good and bad, the nice and nasty. If all you do is love the lovable, do you expect a bonus? Anybody can do that. If you simply say hello to those who greet you, do you expect a medal? Any run-of-the-mill sinner does that.
48"In a word, what I'm saying is, Grow up. You're kingdom subjects. Now live like it. Live out your God-created identity. Live generously and graciously toward others, the way God lives toward you."

Hi! Sorry I haven't posted in here for awhile. Here is a really neat letter I recently received. I think you will find it something well worth reading as well. Have a blessed day! Thanks for visiting today!
Dear loved ones,
As you well know, we are getting closer to my birthday. Every year
there is a celebration in my honor and I think that this year the
celebration will be repeated. During this time there are many
people shopping for gifts, there are many radio announcements, TV
commercials, and in every part of the world everyone is talking
that my birthday is getting closer and closer.
It is really very nice to know, that at least once a year, some
people think of me. As you know, the celebration of my birthday
began many years ago. At first people seemed to understand and be
thankful of all that I did for them, but in these times, no one
seems to know the reason for the celebration. Family and friends
get together and have a lot of fun, but they don't know the meaning
of the celebration.
I remember that last year there was a great feast in my honor The
dinner table was full of delicious foods, pastries, fruits,
assorted nuts and chocolates. The decorations were exquisite and
there were many, many beautifully wrapped gifts. But, do you want
to know something? I wasn't invited. I was the guest of honor and
they didn't remember to send me an invitation. The party was for
me, but when that great day came, I was left outside, they closed
the door in my face .... and I wanted to be with them and share
their table.
In truth, that didn't surprise me because in the last few years all
close their doors to me. Since I wasn't invited, I decided to enter
the party without making any noise. I went in and stood in a
corner. They were all drinking; there were some who were drunk and
telling jokes and laughing at everything. They were having a grand
time. To top it all, this big fat man all dressed in red wearing a
long white beard entered the room yelling Ho-Ho-Ho! He seemed
drunk. He sat on the sofa and all the children ran to him, saying:
"Santa Claus, Santa Claus" .. as if the party were in his honor!
At 12 Midnight all the people began to hug each other; I extended
my arms waiting for someone to hug me and ... do you know ... no
one hugged me. Suddenly they all began to share gifts. They opened
them one by one with great expectation. When all had been opened,
I looked to see if, maybe, there was one for me.
What would you feel if on your birthday everybody shared gifts and
you did not get one? I then understood that I was unwanted at that
party and quietly left.
Every year it gets worse. People only remember to eat and drink,
the gifts, the parties and nobody remembers me. I would like this
Christmas that you allow me to enter into your life. I would like
that you recognize the fact that almost two thousand years ago I
came to this world to give my life for you, on the cross, to save
you. Today, I only want that you believe this with all your heart.
I want to share something with you. As many didn't invite me to
their party, I will have my own celebration, a grandiose party that
no one has ever imagined, a spectacular party.
I'm still making the final arrangements. Today I am sending out
many invitations and there is an invitation for you. I want to know
if you wish to attend and I will make a reservation for you and
write your name with golden letters in my great guest book. Only
those on the guest list will be invited to the party. Those who
don't answer the invite, will be left outside.
Be prepared because when all is ready you will be part of my great
party.
See you soon.
I Love you!
Jesus
P.S. Please share this message with your loved ones, before Christmas
